Evolution of Two Buildings
From the exterior to the interior, Maury County Investments pays careful attention down to the last detail - all of which takes a building from beyond merely functional to simply outstanding. We work carefully with our tenant, architect and builder to ensure the project runs as seamlessly as possible from beginning to completion. The end result benefits both tenant and community.
Maintaining historical integrity is an important process of renovating a property. Maury County Investments strives to keep this integrity and authenticity while updating and modernizing our buildings. We believe this combination works well in terms of maintaining the Southern and historical charm that makes Mount Pleasant and its downtown area unique and attractive.
Below is a photographic journey of what we call "the evolution of a building," e.g., restoring, renovating and revitalizing it to make a beautiful, functional space for both tenants and the community.
1824 General Store - Before & After
This building was completely renovated in 2017. Located on Main Street in downtown Mount Pleasant, the property is now 1824 General Store, which opened its doors for business in November 201. The exterior and interior were designed to evoke a feel reminiscent of a small town's central hardware store from yesteryear.

Breckenridge Baby Boutique - Before & After
Originally built in the early 1900s, this property was restored and renovated in 2016-2017. Breckenridge Baby is a boutique store that recently moved into the space and has a devoted clientele within the Middle Tennessee area. The boutique is located at 99 Public Square across from the police station and next to Too Much Stuff Emporium.
